Reduce & Eliminate Motor Tics
It is hard to say what causes motor tics or what is the root cause of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD). For years, physicians, psychologists and educators have looked to medication to help children focus and concentrate. Many researchers have pointed to anxiety and nervous feelings as the primary cause of these disorders and have prescribed medication to address them. While medication can be helpful in expanding the concentration window and even reducing anxiety, it does very little to help those children who have motor tics. In fact, these ADD/ADHD medications may, over time, bring about motor and/or visual tics. However, through Major Mindset Hypnosis, special techniques developed for boys with ADD/ADHD, motor and visual tics have been greatly reduced and concentration and focus levels have increased. The technique involves using hypnosis as a coping mechanism for stress and anxious feelings while strengthening the child’s ego by building self-confidence in the academic learning process. Utilizing a safe multi-sensory, hands-on approach, the child develops confidence and pleasure in his learning process. Anchors and triggers are employed for self-monitoring of attention as well as the ability to (a) suppress motor tics and (b) eliminate the motor tics completely. While this technique eliminates motor tics in children and teens with ADD/ADHD, it can be used to improve concentration and focus in adults and children with aDD/ADHD and other co-morbidities such as OCD. The technique has been successful helping children and teens with Asperger’s, as well.
